The smiles

behind the spiral

Hey surf sister! We’re

Mykaela & Courtenay

(but you can call us Myks & Courts)

We’ve spent the best part of the past decade travelling the world side by side; running surf camps together in Europe; escaping winters in North Africa; and scoring quiet shoulder seasons in Indonesia.

We’re best friends and co-founders of

Oumono Club

The full story would require a few cups of tea and many packets of biscuits.

So for now, let’s rewind 4 years…

Sat side-by-side in our camping chairs, we realised our happy place was right there: held up by a bit of canvas and a few poles, with our toes in the sand, our eyes on the ocean and our minds replaying a week’s worth of perfect waves together.

We quickly came to realise that we’d been lucky enough to have met a person who felt like home - even in the most remote of places. Ever since then, we’ve inspired, encouraged, motivated and supported one another in and out of the water…

“I can’t imagine a life without surfing. It’s given me purpose and direction—to the point where every decision, big or small, has been shaped by the ocean’s rhythm. It’s more than a hobby or a career—it’s what allows me to sit on my board in the middle of the sea, look around in awe, and think to myself, ‘life is so damn good.’

I wake up every day with this deep sense of appreciation. Surfing has led me to my most meaningful connections and most cherished friendships. The girls you see plastered all over Oumono Club? They’re the reason I feel like the luckiest woman alive.” - Courts

“Surfing swept me off my feet and into a lifestyle that I thought was completely out of my reach. I’m a later in life, self-proclaimed ‘average’ surfer who came for the lifestyle but stayed for the community, the friendships and an unshakable love for the sport!” - Myks

Whether you’re a seasoned adventure-seeker or a complete newcomer, we have created Oumono Club surf retreats for women of all levels, abilities and ages. Together, with a small group of women, you will challenge your limits, discover new skills, connect with the ocean, and find your girl gang.

Just as we did.
