Terms & Conditions

Please make sure you familiarise yourself with the Terms & Conditions. By booking a retreat with Oumono Club you agree to the below:

BOOKING INFORMATION

To apply for an Oumono Club Retreat an initial deposit of 25% of the total price is requested to reserve your space. The remaining amount must be paid 60 days prior to the arrival date (See Payment Terms below). Private and shared rooms availability are on a first-come, first-served basis. Please book your reservations early to receive your preferred accommodation. We reserve the right to refuse bookings at our discretion.

PAYMENT

To reserve an Oumono Club Retreat, please follow the instructions on the site. You will need to make an online deposit to secure your reservation (see our Payment Terms below). The online payment is processed by SQUARESPACE payments. You can also pay via bank transfer.

If you are paying in a currency other than the primary currency of the listing (the converted currency), any payments or instalments you make towards the booking will be converted based on the current exchange rate at the time of payment (which may differ from the exchange rate at the time of your booking).

Please check the details of your reservation before submitting your reservation request. We will not be liable for any delay or non-performance of your reservation if you provide us with incorrect information.

Your reservation is confirmed, and a binding contract will come into existence between you and us as soon as we have issued a confirmation email with the details of your reservation. Upon receipt, if you believe that any details on the confirmation are incorrect or if you require any changes, you must contact us immediately, as it may not be possible to make changes later.

PAYMENT TERMS

We will secure your place upon receipt of a deposit of 25% of the value of your chosen room. We will email you with details of the payment plan, which will include the deadlines for each payment. The first instalment after deposit payment will be due 90 days prior to arrival.

We must receive payment in full no later than 60 days prior to arrival. If we do not receive payment within this time frame, Oumono Club reserves the right to cancel your booking.

If bookings are made less than 60 days prior to arrival, the full amount will be due within 1 week of deposit payment.

FLIGHT ARRANGEMENTS

Our surf holidays do not include flights, travel insurance, excess baggage charges, tipping, or additional excursions and activities that are not confirmed as part of your arrangements. It is your responsibility to arrange and pay for these extras where applicable.

We will advise you on an appropriate time to arrive at the destination airport to ensure a group transfer from the airport to our accommodation. We cannot be held responsible if your flight is delayed or cancelled. If this happens, or if you decide to arrive or leave on a different date, you will be liable for paying for and organising your own transport to the accommodation.

Please ensure we receive your flight details at least one week prior to your departure date to ensure a smooth travel day.

CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER

If a cancellation is accepted by Oumono Club, we may impose a cancellation charge and may charge additional costs incurred as a result of travel arrangements already made. Requests by the customer to cancel or change a trip must be submitted via email to hello@oumonoclub.com at least 60 days prior to the retreat. Within this time frame, Oumono Club offers a 50% refund in credit, which the customer can apply to an alternative retreat. If you cancel less than 60 days before the trip, Oumono Club reserves the right to keep 100% of the payment. Please note that the deposit is nonrefundable under any circumstances.

Where a cancellation affects more than one person on the booking, a cancellation charge will be applied for each person on the booking. Please note that the cancellation of the service may be subject to separate cancellation charges if additional costs have been incurred.

We highly suggest purchasing travel insurance with “trip cancellation” coverage in case you are unable to attend your trip. Please note that your travel insurance should also cover "disruption to travel" and “sickness.” You may also need to add a surfing cover as an additional extra. Oumono Club values your commitment to your chosen retreat. To ensure a seamless process, we kindly request that customers submit required documentation and establish direct communication with our team within two weeks of the scheduled retreat. Please be advised that if the required documentation is not submitted, Oumono Club has the right to cancel your reservation. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

CANCELLATION BY OUMONO CLUB

On rare occasions, Oumono Club may have to cancel a retreat and reserves the right to do so. If this happens, the customer will be notified as soon as possible. Oumono Club may (at its discretion) also offer an alternative service, if able to do so, and inform the customer of its impact on the price of the booking. For example, we can offer to transfer 110% of your deposit value to an alternative retreat. If the alternative retreat is of lower cost, the customer may be entitled to a price reduction, at our discretion.

OUR LIABILITY TO YOU

We accept responsibility for ensuring that the retreats are supplied as described and that the services we are contractually obliged to provide are to a reasonable standard.

We do not accept any liability for cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war, terrorist actions or threats, closure of airports, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, technical problems to transport, staff cancellations, unforeseen changes in your personal circumstances or other events beyond our control.

We are not liable for any injuries you may incur. Surf lessons, yoga classes, surfskate workshops, swims, bike rides and other activities are undertaken at your own risk. Please note, any free surf sessions (outside of prearranged lessons) will be unsupervised with no instructor present and board hire outside of lessons will be an extra charge. Please make sure you are comfortable on your own in the water and have observed the conditions before paddling out as we will not be held liable for any injuries that may occur during your free surfs. We are not liable for any medical or psychiatric conditions, which may develop before, during or after the retreat.

Furthermore, it is your responsibility to inform your Hosts, Surf Coach, and Yoga Teacher of any injuries and to be mindful of your body’s capabilities at all times during the retreat. If you experience any injury or discomfort during any activity, you must withdraw immediately. Should this occur, it is at Oumono Club’s discretion whether a refund for missed activities or retreat days can be provided.

NO LIABILITY FOR POSSESSIONS

The accommodation will not be left empty and unlocked at any time. It is your responsibility to ensure that your possessions are kept safe at all times in and outside of the villa. This includes hire cars or other hired equipment. We cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings during the retreat.

ADVERSE WEATHER AND SURF CONDITIONS

We choose our destinations based on the quality of waves, drawing from years of surf travel experience. However, as a company, we’re not responsible for poor surf or bad weather. It’s your responsibility to research the area’s suitability and ensure you’re happy with it prior to booking. Should the weather prevent any surfing from taking place (for example, during flat or stormy spells), we will arrange alternative activities to ensure you’re getting the most out of the ocean conditions. Please be open-minded, as we’re dealing with Mother Nature and can’t be held responsible for the challenges she throws at us.

We hold any information you provide to us in strict confidentiality.

If you choose to book a holiday or request further information, we may keep your details on file to send you new versions of our newsletter or inform you of special offers. We do not sell our customer details to anyone. If you wish for us to remove any details we may have stored, simply send an email to hello@oumonoclub.com with your full name, address, postcode, and email address, requesting that we remove your details.
